The unofficial start of summer is upon us, with this long, Memorial Day weekend. As we enjoy the gift of this weekend, let’s pause to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country and the families carrying the weight of loss. Will you take a moment to pray? *Gracious Lord, heavenly Father, on this day we pause to remember the sacrifices made for freedom throughout the past centuries. We do indeed owe a debt of gratitude to those who have paid dearly for the liberty we enjoy. Yet, O Lord, I know that good government, peace, and freedom are really gifts granted from Your fatherly hand. As we remember those who have served our nation, help us to remember that civic duty, no matter how well done, does not grant entrance to Your kingdom. We are saved by grace, through faith in Christ, apart from our works. Freed from the Law’s demands, I know that I am now free to serve my neighbor for my neighbor’s sake. May the sacrifices of those who have gone before me serve as examples. When I meet those who have served, remind me to thank them. Almighty God, guide the leaders of our nation. Watch over those who serve in our armed forces, especially those far from home. And above all, grant that we, Your children by faith in Christ, may find a field of service in which we may uphold righteousness, order, and peace in Jesus’ name. Amen.* Prayer excerpted from the *Lutheran Book of Prayer.* Looking forward to being together on Sunday, ~ Amy & Your Friends Church Staff Team **Coming up:** **New Summer Class -** Stewarding the Blessings of God **-** Details below **Dad Camp -** Details below **Friends Youth Camp** - Details below --- ![](https://churchusercontent.com/api/image-proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fauth.churchspace.co%2Fstorage%2Fv1%2Fobject%2Fpublic%2Forganization-assets%2Feb8d7634-c8fd-4e80-9181-5bdb2ca41196%2FMay_24_2026_Bulletin_1_2026-05-21T18-57-32-779Z.png) --- [![Video thumbnail](https://churchusercontent.com/api/image-proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimg.youtube.com%2Fvi%2FeyB4uC1nsBA%2Fhq720.jpg)](https://youtube.com/shorts/eyB4uC1nsBA?si=4ZUYFoPwNYcFC5M4) --- **Watch the livestream** [**here**](https://erfriends.com/live/) **Watch & listen to past messages** [**here**](https://erfriends.com/watch-listen/) **Read Philippians 4:1-9** [**here**](https://www.esv.org/Philippians+4/) --- [Weekly Bulletin](https://auth.churchspace.co/storage/v1/object/public/organization-assets/eb8d7634-c8fd-4e80-9181-5bdb2ca41196/May_24_2026_Bulletin_2026-05-21T19-03-48-741Z.pdf) [Give](https://erfriends.com/giving/) [Newsletter](https://auth.churchspace.co/storage/v1/object/public/organization-assets/eb8d7634-c8fd-4e80-9181-5bdb2ca41196/May_2026_Newsletter_2026-04-25T14-33-16-505Z.pdf) --- **If your week wasn’t such a good one,** **or you have a praise to share,** **click the button below;** **we would love to pray for you.** [Prayer Request](https://erfriends.churchcenter.com/people/forms/335412) --- [![](https://churchusercontent.com/api/image-proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fauth.churchspace.co%2Fstorage%2Fv1%2Fobject%2Fpublic%2Forganization-assets%2Feb8d7634-c8fd-4e80-9181-5bdb2ca41196%2Fpco-imports%2F2026-05-21T19-05-04-336Z-78770c06-2092-4454-a571-8878208a6957.jpg)](https://erfriends.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3655287) [Info & Sign Up](https://erfriends.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3655287) [![](https://churchusercontent.com/api/image-proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fauth.churchspace.co%2Fstorage%2Fv1%2Fobject%2Fpublic%2Forganization-assets%2Feb8d7634-c8fd-4e80-9181-5bdb2ca41196%2Fpco-imports%2F2026-05-14T19-53-47-142Z-97bf2b59-e8b9-4369-8dfd-5f26e05b046a.jpg)](https://erfriends.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3642423) [Info & Sign Up](https://erfriends.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3642423) [![](https://churchusercontent.com/api/image-proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fauth.churchspace.co%2Fstorage%2Fv1%2Fobject%2Fpublic%2Forganization-assets%2Feb8d7634-c8fd-4e80-9181-5bdb2ca41196%2Fpco-imports%2F2026-05-05T19-14-25-105Z-2e4738ce-efd7-4e39-92f9-fdacf9e9a073.jpg)](https://erfriends.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3602197) [Info & Sign Up](https://erfriends.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3602197)
