Hello Friends!
What a week we got to have!!
VBS was a huge success!!
Thank you to all who prayed, gave in any way, served in any way... all of us offering time, talents, & treasures... you know how it goes -- so the whole valley can know Jesus!! Kids learned that Jesus is the true Light of the World, the powerful Son of God, and the only one Who forgives sin and gives new life. They also got to smash watermelon, observe how baking soda and vinegar make a really cool fizzy-reaction (because God is amazing), learn about healthy snacks, make glittery slime, and enjoy an atmosphere of joy and love. Will you pray for these kiddos to remember, forever, the love and truth that they received this summer week in 2026? And as you pray, will you thank God for His blessings to and through all of us coming together to honor Him in this way?
Last week, our passage contained a massive word - reconcile.
What comes to your mind when you hear that word?
- your checkbook (for those over 40)?
- that broken relationship that makes you feel yucky?
- an obscure time in American history?
Whatever comes to mind, can you pause for a moment and let the weight of the word sink in? Here's a definition:
Reconicle - to call back to union and friendship the affections which have been alienated (Webster's 1828 Dictionary).
That was us! We were alienated from God, helpless to do anything to restore our union. But He canceled our debt and took our death sentence upon Himself! Oh, what a gift we have been given! We have been reconciled - restored to friendship with our Creator and Savior! Where are you in your walk with Jesus and your understanding of reconciliation? If you want to talk about this or anything else, reach out. This is how we love and live in the light and truth of Jesus.
Looking forward to tomorrow,
